7 Day Itinerary


Day 1: Auckland *(D)

Welcome to Auckland often referred to as the 'City of Sails', because one out of every six residents has a boat! This is New Zealand's largest city and the international gateway for all flights arriving from northern hemisphere. Your tour guidewill be waiting to welcome you at arrivals, before heading to the Copthorne Hotel in Parnell to freshen up.  Spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying some of our southern ocean marine life at Kelly Tarlton’s and we call into the Auckland Railway Station to see the Giant Waka Canoe.

A free night to settle in, dinner in the hotel resturant.

Day 2: Auckland *(B, D)

Today we head for the lovely Whangaparoa Peninsula, Whangaparoa means “Bay of whales” as orca and other whales are often spotted off the coast. Talk a walk along our sandy beaches.  On the way back we stop to discover some of the great names of New Zealand's aviation and motor history at the Museum of Transport and Technology (motat for short).  Back in Auckland we hit the high street stores of Queen Street and Newmarket, where you'll find boutiques featuring many New Zealand designers.  Then you will make your way up to the Sky Tower, the southern hemispheres tallest building at 328 meters, offering breathtaking views for up to 80 kilometres in every direction on a clear day.  Have a go at beating the machines in the casino before heading back up the tower for a buffet dinner.

Day 3: Auckland – Christchurch *(B, D)

Today we head back to the airport and fly to Christchurch, known as the 'Garden City'.  Freshen up at the Copthorne Hotel.  Then we visit Ferrymead Heritage Village, for a trip back to the Edwardian times with steam trains and an early settlement township.  A unique way to view the heart of Christchurch city is to ride through the city centre in our delightful restored vintage trams or just stroll around the beautiful gardens this city is so proud of.  Enjoy dinner in the hotel restaurant before taking a night sightseeing tour around Christchurch.

Day 4: Christchurch – Queenstown *(B, L, D)

After breakfast you’ll depart for Queenstown first stopping at the International Antarctic Centre.  View the nocturnal ‘Little Blue Penguins’ and survive an Antarctic storm.  Then jump aboard a flight to the ‘Adventure Capital of the World’ Queenstown.  Freshen up at the Hotel and then enjoy the stunning scenery aboard the historical steamship, The TSS Earnslaw, one of the last remaining coal fired passenger carrying vessels operating in the southern hemisphere, enjoy a delicious late lunch on board the ship.

Day 5: Queenstown *(B, D)

This morning your day begins with a spectacular helicopter ride to the famous Franz Joseph and Fox glacier. Then jet boat across the pristine waters of beautiful Lake Wakatipu or if you're looking to relax, head to the surrounding wineries for a tasting and a delicious lunch.  Back in Queenstown you’ll ride up the mountain for some of the most spectacular 220 deg views that you could ever see via Skyline Gondola Queenstown.

Day 6: Milford/Doubtful Sound *(B, D)

After breakfast your day begins with a spectacular helicopter ride to the Milford Sound’s.  This flight will take your breath away, gaze upon alpine lakes, lush rainforests and fly past rugged peaks before landing and joining an exploratory nature cruise on the sound.  View cascading waterfalls, sheer rock faces and unique wildlife.

Free nights to relax and pack.

Day 7: Queenstown - Auckland  *(B)

(Flight times are required, to liaise with the flight from Auckland to your destination depending on time).
